Man Sues Restaurant Over Boneless Chicken Wings
As one among the hustlers like mama mboga, boda boda, makanga and watu wa mjengo facing the reality of bottom up economy, perhaps; I am very ready for Monday.
So, when I battle the high economy and join the likes of Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria and South Africa to my mentor Julius Amalema, one hustler in the US is suing a restaurant for selling him boneless chicken wings.
To him, bottom up economy must be put into action and seen. Those who earn by exploiting a hustler must also pay back and a hustler must enjoy his sweat.
Aimen Hakim on January ordered chicken wings in one restaurant but claim the “wings” that were brought to him were boneless.
He say they were just chicken nuggets or perhaps sliced chicken breast that the restaurant blackminded him with.
In a lawsuit filed early this week at a district court in Illinois, Chicago, Hakim said a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Mount Prospect, Illinois sold him boneless chicken “wings” at a dubious price.
In his lawsuit, he states: “Unbeknownst to Plaintiff and other consumers, the Products are not wings at all, but instead, slices of chicken breast meat deep-fried like wings.
“Indeed, the Products are more akin, in composition, to a chicken nugget rather than a chicken wing.
“Had Plaintiff and other consumers known that the Products are not actually chicken wings, they would have paid less for them, or would not have purchased them at all.
“Therefore, Plaintiff and consumers have suffered injury in fact, as a result of Defendants’ deceptive practices.”
Following the “fake” chicken wings the restaurant brought to him, Hakim is seeking damages, injunctive relief, declaratory relief and all other remedies the Court deems appropriate though the lawsuit does not point out the exact monetary amount he has to receive.
