Woman Who Assaulted Ailing Mother-in-law For Urinating In A Room Arrested
Woman, 42 -year- old was on Thursday arrested by Khar Police Officers after assaulting her ailing mother-in-law who failed to control her bladder and urinated in a room.
The woman, 72- year-old identified as Venubai Wate was living close to her boys where they used to take turns in taking care of her until it darned on her on Thursday, when her daughter-in- law assaulted her.
According to police inspector, Mohan Mane Venubai, the Indian woman was in Suja’s house when her bladder failed to hold urine and accidentally urinated in a room.
“The daughter-in-law, whose place she was staying on Thursday, had an argument with her in the morning when she was about to leave for work. During the argument, Suja allegedly hit her mother-in-law with a walking stick.
“Since then, the elderly woman had been lying alone in the house until one of her grandchildren reached out to us,” said senior inspector Mohan Mane, Khar Police Station.
After being assaulted, Venubai’s grandchild called the police officers who came and found her in a sympathizing condition and since she was far in a storey building, the officers sent one of their female colleague who went and picked her and took her to the hospital.
“When we found out she was on the third floor of the building and in a lot of pain for hours, we decided to take her to the hospital at Bhabha instead of waiting for the family members to reach home thus Constable Nikita Mhatre helped us to carry her to our vehicle “ Mr Mohan added.
Following the assault of the nonagenarian, the police filed an assault case against Suja under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code and arrested her.
