Eric Omondi: Wacha Baba Amalize Yake Tuendelee
Just three days after jailing out three women from Lang’ata Women’s Prison and promising to jailed out 33 more, yesterday Eric Omondi bailed out eight women imprisoned over petty offenses.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, the president of comedy said it was heart wrenching to find out some women had been imprisoned for unidentified cases.
” Today we managed to bail out eight young girls from Lang’ata Women’s Prison and their stories are heartbreaking and simply heat wrenching.
” We will process more tomorrow and then move to Nairobi West Women’s Prison, Industrial Area then nationwide” Eric Omondi said.
In a video clip he shared on his Instagram page, two women said they were arrested and put in prison without being taken to court for trial.
One among the eight while sobbing and shedding tears disclosed her family don’t know where she was after she was arrested for an unknown law breaking.
On the high cost of living, the award winning comedian promised to continue with his Unga Initiative to help the devastated Kenyans after the 20th March, Raila Odinga’s peaceful demonstration.
“Tukinyamaza one week, wanarudisha juu… Haaya wacha Raila amalize yake sisi tuendelee” the intelligentsia added.
Today, Mr Omondi will return to Lang’ata Women’s Prison to jail out more Kenyans as he promised on Monday after jailed out Joyce Naserian, Nicole and Naomi.
