Tausi, 29- years old is a producer, musician and actress born in Iringa but currently based in Dar eeslam, has for more than three years hurt by people asking her daughter why she’s “small”

 

Akitoka shuleni wakati mwingine mwanangu huniambia watu wanamuuliza mbona mamake ni mdogo hivyo. Hili huonyesha mwanangu ameumwa lakini najua ni mdogo. Atakua tu” says Tausi.

 

As an actress, she tried her debut into music industry but didn’t manage thus making her start her start boutique business.

As she tells her story to Veronica in an exclusive interview, the mother of one was born with stunted growth disability but has tried all her efforts to defy all societal views upon persons living with disabilities.

 

In her family, the struggle to fend for food made her move from Iringa to Dar eeslam, where she now resides with her daughter, Princes Pavitrah.

 

As an actress, she say inadequate funds have for a long while made her failed to shoot her documentary plays.

 

However, there are more challenges she go through as a single mother to her daughter especially when walking in some towns and cross some flyovers.

 

She say sometime she feel sorry because of her weight where people find it difficult to carry her and board some vehicles or motorbikes.

 

Mdegela despite the challenges, she hopes her daughter will get better education and fit in the society by defying the odds of humiliation she go through because of her mother’s physical nature.

 

Najua mwanangu ni mdogo lakini akikua, ataelewa tu ila wakati mwingine akiniambia alivyoambiwa, hujipata nalia na yeye pia kulia” Mdegela says.
