Home » Security Beefed-up On Roads Leading To State House

As we are counting hours to the end of Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s 14 days ultimatum, security has been beefed at the Kenya’s August House.

Roadblocks as well as armed police officers have been deployed on roads leading to State House today.

As reported by the Star, motocyclists were also turned away as the officers said they were under instructions not to allow the motorcyclists as they could be used to ferry crowds to State House for the protests.

Azimio Leader Raila Odinga had earlier given the Kenya Kwanza Government 14 days to address the cost of living among other grievances stated at Jeevanjee Gardens, failure to which Azimio leaders and supporters were to  hold a mass protest and march to State House.

The ODM leader confirmed the protest while speaking on Tuesday.

“We want you to wait for the time, the deadline is tomorrow (Wednesday) at midnight. So you will hear from us on Thursday,” he said.
