Home » Is Eric Omondi Soon Joining Politics?

In a continent where political impunity is the game of the day and in a revered organization where the likes of Asava and Chebochok lead companies and offer jobs in exchange of sex, a Kenyan comedian has expressed his emotional feelings on social media by promising his generation a hopeful tomorrow.

Eric Omondi alias the President of Comedy has recently got himself in the merciless jaws of Kenyan government for staging a peaceful demonstration in the City over the high cost of living in the country.

Last Wednesday, he again got himself in a circle of men in blues when he was about to distribute unga to devastated and hunger stricken citizens in the city.

Following the incidence, Omondi has posted an emotional video on his Instagram page promising the youth a great tomorrow only through unity and ace out the incumbent humiliating governments.

They may be strong and powerful for now but the future belongs to us and cannot take away that from us. Our time is coming very soon.

The era of intimidation, the era of corruption, the era of black bin. Shall come to an end. Our children will be free from corruption, unfairness and poverty.

“Our time to change the deep rooted system structure that have existed for long and kept us into poverty, is coming” says Eric Omondi.

The comedian of late has been hitting headlines on media by his stake on moral decadence explicitly depicted by both political wannabes in authority and gospel artists.

His unequivocal charisma and enigmatic loveless for pretense by former gospel artists have morphed into clowns and promoted immorality has angered the comedian making him single them out and order for change.

Among the singled ones; Willy Paul, Jimmy Gait, Bahati, Daddy Owen, Ringtone Apoko and Mercy Masika. In the same move, he has now turned to past and current regimes to single out their misdeeds.

Can We Say Eric Is Joining Politics?

Is Eric Omondi joining politics? If things goes by, will he be on the ballot come 2027? Is he looking for a way to be appointed by the current government and given a slice of potato or is he being used by the opposition government?

The vocal comedian, former Daystar University student has also urged the youth to stand firm when the time of change will be knocking at their doors and receive victory.

We will fight to the end. We will win against economic slavery. We are not fighting people. We are fighting deep rooted structures and systems that have the poor poorer and the rich richer since independence.

“Their vicious circle will end with my generation. We will fight it today, tomorrow and the day after. We are relentless. A new dawn will arise” says Mr Omondi.

However, if Eric’s words are put into action and meant, he may be the current Julius Amalema and Ndlozi of South Africa, perhaps may be also the old Thomas Sankara or Bobi Wine of Uganda.
