Man Exhumes Body Of Sister-In-Law, Drops It At Ex-Wife’s Door
A man in Migori who separated with wife three years ago following family wrangles has left residents in shock.
The man who is said to be in his 60s, is accused of exhuming body of his sister-in-law,Joan Apondi, buried 12 years ago before later dropping it at his ex-wife’s ,Monica Adhiambo, door at her rental house at Kakaro trading centre in Suna East Sub County.
Reporting the incident to one of the Radio stations, Monica claims she was in her house when the accused dropped the remains at her door.
She adds that she was aware of her then husband planning to bring the remains of her sister after he allegedly threatened her when she declined to reconcile with him.
She further explains that her late sister was not married and a decision to bury her on the man’s compound was reached after the man, her ex-husband, agreed with his in-laws.
Her mother Mr.Susan Otieno, who is ready to bury her daughters’ remains in her own compound, is waiting for police directives on the matter.
Kakaro North sub-location Assistant chief Mr.Joel Amwenya said the matter is now under investigation.
