Nigeria’s two main opposition parties have called for cancellation of what they term as sham election.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour party today, called for cancellation of the weekend presidential polls over alleged manipulation of results.

“The election is irretrievably compromised and we have totally lost faith in the entire process. We demand that this sham of an election should be immediately cancelled,” Labour Party chairman Julius Abure told reporters along with representatives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Early results showed Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party  leading his two competitors PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi.

The country’s electoral body  INEC experienced technical problems that disrupted uploading of tallies from local polling stations to a central website.

The opposition have labelled the disruptions  as attempts to manipulate results while the electoral body said those were technical glitches.

“This election is not free and far from being fair and transparent”

“President Muhammadu Buhari, this is the time of a great test of your integrity. Use your office to save Nigerians from this electoral mismanagement.” Abure said.
