Grade Five Pupil Hit To Death By Motorist In Migori
A 10-year-old, Grade Five pupil identified as Ramadhan Morgan died in an accident that involved a saloon car.
The accident occured near River Olando, along the Rongo-Migori highway in Rongo sub-county, Migori county when the pupil was on her way going to fetch water as confirmed by David Onyango, chief at South Kamagambo location.
He stated that the pupil who was walking along the road died on the spot when he was hit by the saloon car after the driver lost control of the vehicle
Angry members of the public and the family of the deceased stormed the school to protest as the pupil was allegedly sent by teachers to fetch water.
Investigations into the matter are yet to be launched as the chief warns teachers against sending learners outside school especially in areas close to main highway.
The body was collected by police from Rongo Sub-county.
