Desperate Kakamega Girl Finally Finds Help

Melvin Masitsa was a heartbroken and fully dejected girl after dad allegedly refused to take up his responsibility to help her further her studies.

Masitsa who scored 319 marks wrote a heartbreaking goodbye letter to her father which caught the attention of netizens who felt sorry for her.

In the letter, she cited facing rejection from family members and went ahead to ask him not to bury her incase her lifeless body is found.
“It seems I am causing you an inconvenience by asking to be taken to school. It is alright, I respect your decision as you are my father. However, you will never see me again in your lifetime. If my body is found, do not trouble yourselves burying it. And should we meet, please bypass me as you have never known me before. Goodbye,” she wrote.
Masitsa who currently lives with her aunt had her lost hope and pressure to take her own life finally  buried and replaced with a smile, after an MCA vowed to sponsor her education.
Hon Modester Auka who represents Maihakalo ward in the Kakamega County Assembly took up the responsibility to educate Melvin Masitsa.

On Monday, 13th February, Melvin Masitsa  was admitted to St Patrick’s Ikonyero Secondary School with the MCA  purchasing all the essentials and requirements for any student’s admission.

The MCA further pledged to sponsor her education for  the four-year period she will be in secondary school.

“I will sponsor her for four years. She is schooling from her aunt who is also a hustler. I haven’t tried to reach out to the father coz the girl seemed fed up with him,” the MCA stated.
