I’m A Poo Phobic, Model Emmerald Barwise Reveals
A poo phobic woman has disclosed how she collapsed at photo shoot after avoiding loo for a couple of weeks.
Emmerald Barwise, a model from Wales while speaking on Channel 4 Program; Know Your Shit: Inside Our Guts, revealed that she used to think avoiding loo for a couple of weeks is normal.
To her, she claims the environment she was raised in never had talks about going to the toilet.
“ I don’t come from a family that talks about those things. I am 36 and this has been my whole life. I would like to get it sorted” says the model.
In the show that covers people’s bizarre dietary afflictions, Barwise a vintage model majoring in early 1990 content, also disclosed that her lifestyle has denied her chance to socialize with friends especially going for dinner parties.
“I don’t like using other people’s toilets. I am a poo shy” the 36-year-old model disclosed.
Barwise usually don’t eat before going for shoots. According to her, she usually stay empty stomach at the shoot till she return to her house.
One time she went for a photo shoot after having eaten at home and collapsed while at the shoot.
“Sometimes I don’t poo for two weeks but later get myself bloated. My stomach aching and filled to the brim.
“One day I ate before going for the shoot and collapsed while at the shoot. I would like my problem to get sorted” says Barwise.
Recalling one incident in love relationship, her boyfriend enquired why she don’t go for fecal deuce but slammed the enquiry.
“The people I have dated in the past have been giving me migraine. It has been really difficult to make excuses to go to the toilet.
” One day, my boyfriend asked; you don’t poo?” Barwise recalls.
Due to her poo phobia, she usually get herself bloated after avoiding toilet for weeks and look like she’s pregnant.
After the program, Barwise met Sophie Medlin a dietitian. Medlin associated her condition with a bacteria characterized by low mood, anxiety and blood sugar.
The dietitian told her to avoid garlic and onions in her meals something she objected.
“I love garlic and onions. How can I do without them ? Will my food have a good taste?” She asked.
In response to her question, Medlin told her to reduce the quantity of garlic, onions, eat fruits and also walk with her toilet cup to reduce poo phobia.
Although in advent she claimed she’s used to to pizza and milkshake, she accepted to adhere to the guidelines.
“Sometimes I can eat a whole pizza, other times I will have a bit of a milkshake and it will be meltdown central.
“Now that I know that it’s not… I worry what lasting damage I’ve done to myself” Barwise tells the dietitian.
