Indian Government Body Urges People To Celebrate Valentine’s Day As ‘ Cow Hug Day’

India’s Animal Welfare Board has urged people to celebrate Valentine’s Day as Cow Hug Day.

 

In a statement released by the Animal Welfare Board department, vedic traditions have been killed by western cultures and now, the government body has appealed to its citizens to save vedic traditions.

 

“We all know that the cow is the backbone of Indian culture and rural economy, sustains our life, represent cattle wealth and biodiversity.

 

“It is known as Kamdhenu and Guamata because of its nourishing nature like mother, the giver of all providing riches to humanity” reads the statement.

Celebrating Valentine’s Day as Cow Hug Day according to the department, will promote happiness, emotional riches and great love recognition for beings and cows.

 

“In view of the immense benefits of the cow, hugging with cow will bring emotional richness hence will increase our individual and collective happiness.

 

“Therefore, all the cow lovers may also celebrate 14th February as Cow Hug Day keeping in mind the importance of another and make life happy and full of postive energy “ the statement adds.

 

Rather than individuals celebrating themselves and giving out gifts; the department has taken a step to recognize animal lovers and also give solace to those who will be single on the eve of 14 February a solution to be happy.
