African celebrated journalist Larry Madowo has landed a new role as the host of African Voices Changemakers at CNN.

 

Announcing his new role in a video footage and post on his Twitter account, Larry Madowo former BBC news correspondent has shown his delight to be hosting the show he was once featured in back  in 2017. As a host, his first show will be aired on 25th, February, 2023.

 

My role at CNN is expanding. I’m now the new host of African Voices Changemakers. I was featured on the show in 2017 so it’s surreal to be taking over” Madowo announces.

 

The Nairobi based CNN news correspondent joined CNN in 2021 and has reported news ranging from politics, health, sports and business across the global world as an African international correspondent.

 

Before joining CNN, Larry started his Journalism profession at 20 where he joined KTN. From KTN, he triumphed to NTV which later luck knocked at his door and joined BBC, based in UK.

 

As an African Voices Changemakers host, Larry will be airing the content ranging from politics, business moguls, sportsmen/women, Africans in Tech Industry, entertainment among other segments of untold tales across African continent.

In 2022, the show started covering sports segment once per month which outsourced many African talents in sports to limelight and motivation to its fan base.

 

The programme which runs in partnership with its sponsor Globacom, has run for over a decade in engaging Africans with the global world.
