Kenyan Embassy Gives Update Over Deadly Turkey Earthquake Tragedy

Diaspora Affairs Principal  Secretary (PS) Roseline Njogu has confirmed  no Kenyan is  reported injured or dead in the Turkey-Syria deadly earthquake tragedy.

Njogu noted that the Kenyan Embassy in Turkey has not recorded any fatalities or injuries, adding that those affected can reach the embassy at +90(538)502 0960.

 

“Following today’s tragic earthquake in Turkey and N. Syria, @KenyaEmbAnkara confirms no reports of any Kenyan dead or injured. Kenyans affected by this earthquake can call the embassy hotline at +90(538)502 0960, email diaspora@mfa.go.ke or DM us at @Diaspora_KE cc @ForeignOfficeKE,” she tweeted.

 

A massive magnitude 7.8 earthquake that shook the two countries on Monday night resulted in at least 4,372 fatalities as of Tuesday morning.

 

Officials have documented 3,531 injuries and 1551 fatalities in Syria.
