Doctors Successfully Remove Golf Ball From Teens Anus
Royal Adelaide Hospital doctors have successfully removed a Golf Ball trapped inside 14yr old Australian Teen Colon.
The teen is said to have inserted the ball into his anus and on realizing he wasn’t able to get it out, he told his mother who immediately rushed him to Hospital.
Luckily, the ball wasn’t obstructing his bowel and he was not in any pain but upon X-ray scans, the images showed the golf ball lodged into his last part of the large intestine, which proved to be a bit of a challenge for doctors.
The report further states that after physically trying to remove the ball while the boy was under general anesthesia, including using a suction cup, medical net, quad-prong grasper and a balloon catheter, another approach was tried.
He was then given one liter of laxatives which successfully pushed out the ball three hours later.
Upon reflection, medics recommended laxatives for future patients who come in with foreign items in their anus with no bowel obstruction.
