Awinja Lands New Job At Ministry Of Health
Actress and comedian Jacky Vike alias Awinja Nyamwalo has landed a job at the Ministry of Health.
The actress is set to serve as Brand Ambassador for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)
Taking to her Instagram page, elated Jacky in a beautiful video shared the good news with fans.
“Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the new Brand Ambassador for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs),” she wrote.
Humbled Awinja says it is an honour to serve in the position thanking MoH for the opportunity.
“It was such an honour to get this role the same day we are Celebrating the world day for NTDs

According to World Health Organization, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a diverse group of 20 conditions mainly prevalent in tropical areas, where they mostly affect impoverished communities and disproportionately affect women and children. These diseases cause devastating health, social and economic consequences to more than one billion people.
They include:
- Buruli Ulcer.
- Chagas Disease.
- Cysticercosis.
- Dengue Fever.
- Dracunculiasis (Guinea Worm Disease)
- Echinococcosis.
- Fascioliasis.
- Human African Trypanosomiasis (African Sleeping Sickness
