Masauti Reacts To Khaligraph Jones’s Remarks: ” Masauti Is A Lazy Artiste”


Masauti, Kenya’s Mombasa-based musician replied to Khaligraph Jones’s remarks about laziness. Speaking to Radio Maisha’s breakfast show, the singer disputed laziness claims and said he took the rapper’s comments as an opinion.

 

Masauti explained that he works hard in his music career but preferably, his efforts can’t meet Khaligraph Jones’s expectations. However, Masauti denied being lazy and agreed to be talented and hardworking.

 

The Mombasa artiste also revealed his take on Khaligraph’s remarks. He admitted to not promoting his work on his handles with the utmost energy and vigour and promised to take heed of Khaligraph’s remarks.

“I can’t deny what Khaligraph Jones said but just like any other critic, I took his remarks as an opinion the way my mother can criticize me. The truth of the matter is, there are things I’m committed to behind the scenes that he may be unaware of but expects growth.” Masauti asserted.

 

He also shared the opinion that the legendary rapper is a catalyst for his music career, and he would apply different means to make sure he meets the rapper’s expectations.

 

I diligently take his remarks as a push or catalyst for my career so that I may add more energy since ain’t lazy. Behind the scenes, I’m super active but on screen – which he derived his opinion, I’m not active.” He added.

Additionally, he shared there are some challenges he goes through behind the scenes, denying him online presence but he’s not lost in the music industry.

 

In the previous interview on Mic Cheque Podcast, Khaligraph called out Masauti over laziness and poor means of promoting music. He advised Masauti to invest in music and learn modern ways of promoting new releases rather than complaining about insupportable Kenyans and his fellow artists.
