“I Tried”: Ini Edo Opens Up About Having Six Miscarriages
Nollywood actress Ini Edo has opened up about her emotional journey, revealing that she faced six miscarriages.
Edo shared that she got married at 26 with the intention of completing her family by 31. She stated that she wanted to focus on her career thereafter.
Speaking candidly in Netflix Reality Show, Young , Famous and African she expressed the pain and challenges she endured, highlighting the emotional toll it took on her.

“I got married at the age of 26 because I thought that at 31, I would have been done with childbearing, retired and facing my career, but life didn’t plan out that way. I tried but had over six miscarriages.
“I tried it wasn’t a fancy way out for me. I’ve always wanted to do this. I have tried, I’ve done IVFs. I’ve lost it half midway through, I know what I have dealt with as a woman,” she narrated.
In 2023, the actress shared that she opted for surrogacy to achieve her dream of motherhood. She now has a beautiful daughter.

“My journey is one that I have not really been wanting to talk about because it is personal. I went through surrogacy. I never thought I would be someone who would have fertility issues,” she revealed.
