“Next, Sitotoka Steji”: Alikiba Speaks after First Encounter With Teargas in Kenya
Ali Saleh Kiba, a Tanzania artiste popularly known as Alikiba, has broken his silence after his first encounter with teargas in Kenya.
In an interview with Rick Media, the King of Bongo Flava music revealed that he had encountered chaos in different shows but had never tasted teargas.
Alikiba explained that he didn’t leave Kenya’s concert at Uhuru Gardens after the chaotic eruption because he was anxious to perform and mark the end of the year well.

Despite the chaos and police move to lob teargas at the rowdy youths who wanted to disrupt the concert, Alikiba said the fans and guests at Raha Fest were calm and peaceful.

The Crown Media CEO added that although the diffusion of teargas reached him, he was not set to leave the event because of mere chaos from rowdy youths. He revealed that the security was intact and Kenyans inside the venue were cooperative.
