Jackie Matubia Reveals Reason That Caused Divorce With Ex-husband Kennedy Njogu
Actress Jackie Matubia has opened up on what led to the end of her first marriage in 2019. In an exclusive with media personality Rajab Zawadi, the actress said her ex-husband, Kennedy Njogu, never wanted her to hustle.
Jackie Matubia said her ex-husband, wanted her to be a stay-at-home wife. According to her, she was used to hunting for her money and she never loved Njogu’s wish.
Jackie Matubia said being a housewife was not her calling. According to her, Kennedy Njogu was a man who cherished his responsibility as a husband and provided her with anything that she wished.

However, the former Tahidi High actress wanted to hunt for her money. She never wanted to be a stay-at-home lady as her ex-husband pilot wished.
“I was married to a man from whom I did not have to ask for anything (he always provided). But there was a flip side to it. This man wanted me to be a stay-at-home, and my problem was that, ever since I was young, I wasn’t one to stay at home without having something to do. I have always been out trying to do something,” Matubia said.
The mother of two added that although Njogu provided whatever she wished and even bought her a car, she was not comfortable with being a housewife.

“He had bought me a car, we lived in a nice house. He provided everything, including money to buy pads. I was not lacking anything, but there was this calling that I needed to just go and work instead of being a stay-at-home mom. I was not at peace with the feeling that I had put my life on pause for this person” Matubia stated.
The 34 – year – old actress revealed that her feeling of hunting for her money made her file for divorce from her husband and leave the marriage in 2019.
“Being a housewife is a good thing for most women, but not for people like us who are used to having our hassle. For someone like me who still has a vision and ambitions to achieve certain things, that is where the friction started,” she explained.
