As an artiste, Simple Boy disclosed that he makes around Ksh. 20,000 a day from music or a month/ collage.


Kenya’s finest rapper, Stephen Otieno, popularly Stevo Simple Boy, has stated that he used to pocket Ksh. 200 at a construction site before fame.

In a recent interview with YouTuber 2mbili, Simple Boy said when he was working at a construction site, life was never easy for him.

“Nilikuwa nalipwa Ksh.200 kwa siku lakini sahii watu wa mjengo wanalipwa Ksh. 650 kwa siku kama mtu wa mkono,” Simple Boy shared.

At a construction site, Simple Boy stated that he worked there for a year as he transported construction materials as the foreman directed him.

However, currently being a celebrated Kenyan rapper, he doesn’t wish to go back to Mjengo. According to him, fans have created a nice trust in him, and he’s committed to meeting the desires of their hearts.

“Siwezi rudi kwa mjengo kwa sababu sahii mimi ni msanii mkubwa Kenya na mashabiki wangu wanamatumaini makubwa kwa uimbaji wangu,” he explained.

As an artiste, Simple Boy disclosed that he makes around Ksh. 20,000 a day from music or a month; “Kwa usanii inategemea lakini kwa siku nawezapata Ksh.20,000 na pengine utapata ni mara moja kwa mwezi.”

To any person struggling with life, he said one shouldn’t be selective or choosey about work as long as the return is money: “Kazi ni kazi bora unapata maokoto hata yakiwa machache bora tu usiibe.”

Recently, YouTuber Oga Obinna opened a second YouTube channel, Sinema Za Simple Boy, in which the Heshimu Ndoa hitmaker will be shooting entertainment skits and uploading them for fans.

According to Obinna, it will increase Simple Boy’s income sources and make him a better and changed person about finances.
