Shatta Bway: I Will Not Marry Again
Shatta Bway, a former Radio Citizen journalist has broken silence on his marriage plans months after losing his beloved wife Becky.
In an exclusive with Dr Ofweneke on TV 47, Shatta Bway said he closed the chapter on marriage and that he wouldn’t marry.
The reggae fanatic said his focus is on taking care of his two children because what he desired in marriage was children.

According to Shatta Bway, parental responsibility is one among other reasons that made him quit Radio Citizen to Cape Media.
“Among the reasons niliacha show ya Radio ni parenting. Nilifeel ninataka more time na watoi ndo nikatafuta job yenye haikuwa more demanding sana. Job yenye inanipa time ya kukaa na watoi.” Shatta Bway told Dr Ofweneke.
On the plans about marriage, Shatta said; “Iyo chapter nilifunga. Mimi sitawahi marry tena. For what? Niko na watoi wawili kijana na mdem. Marriage kwangu ni watoi.” He added.

However, revealed that what he misses from his late wife Becky also known as Mama Jaheim was daily arguments brought by social media comments and posts.
“I miss arguments za madem. Eti nimekaa hivi kwa hao na smile hata ni TikTok, ilikuwa tu unasikia, ‘eeeh umeanza? Waambie ni time yangu sasa. Eeeh ngori.” Shatta recounted.
Shatta Bway recently quit Radio Citizen after 5 years and joined Cape Media where he’s the director of projects and strategy for Maybets.
