Upon receiving the exciting news, Polaris expressed her gratitude, saying; “I’m deeply honored to be featured on Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ program. It’s still sinking in for me.”

“Being included on a platform that has showcased so many of my favorite artists feels surreal. I’m grateful for the recognition of my worthwhile contribution to East African music culture,” she added.

The selection comes a few weeks after the release of her solo EP titled ‘Tufanye?’ (What do we do?).  The song presents Polaris’s take on neo-Afro R&B, featuring warm and atmospheric production from Kenyan beat smiths such as Dillie and Wuod Omollo Beats.
