Varsity: Lecturers Decry Over Students Failure To Attend Lectures

Kirinyaga University lecturers have been befallen by how after attending lectures and finding halls empty.

On a memorandum published by Deputy Vice Chancellor,  Prof. Charles O. A Omwandho, the lecturers presented themselves into his office to report the failure of students to attend lectures.

” Information reaching this office indicates that lecturers have presented themselves in lecture rooms from January 4 – 6, 2023 but teaching has not taken place because students have failed to present themselves. ” States part of the memo.

However, the cum intelligentsia elite has issued a statement of warning to students to avail themselves in lectures for it’s unacceptable by the varsity doctrines.

According to varsity examinations rules and regulations, students are allowed to sit for varsity exam after meeting the 85% lecture attendance in all registered units.

As the prompt, the don has summed up that no single student will be allowed to take varsity examinations without meeting the 85% lecture attendance threshold in all registered units.

Aside Kirinyaga University, students from KeMu, Kenya Methodist University have been warned over indecent dress code when reporting back to campus.

To female students, tumbo cuts exposing belly and navals, miniskirts above the knee, see me through clothes and those clothes exposing backs among other indesent dress codes have been termed uncalled for by the University.
