Man Sets Himself On Fire ‘Over Wife’
The man reportedly instructed his house maid to evacuate moments before he set himself on fire.
In Kitengela, Kajiado County, authorities are investigating a tragic incident where a 48-year-old man perished in fire at his residence in Kyuna Estate.
The man reportedly instructed his house maid to evacuate the building moments before he set himself on fire. Prior to the incident, Kisangi had inflicted multiple self-inflicted stab wounds, resulting in profuse bleeding.Police are also probing the whereabouts of the deceased’s wife, who accompanied him on an excursion Monday. However, the man returned unaccompanied on Wednesday, before the tragic event.

“I saw a huge fire in the neighbourhood, on calling a neighbor, he said it was coming from ‘Raila’s’ house,” Havira Masiko, a Kitengela resident recounts.
The deceased, after urging his house maid to vacate for her safety, triggered an explosion within the premises shortly thereafter. The community is left puzzled by the absence of the deceased’s wife, as the couple’s Monday departure culminated in the husband’s solo return and subsequent tragic demise.
The charred remains of the deceased and substantial property damage, including two gas cylinders suspected of igniting the fire, were discovered at the scene.
