Journalist Robert Nagila Overwhelmed By Emotions As He Pays Tribute To Lover Rita Tinina

Journalists drawn from different media houses, family and friends of late NTV scribe Rita Tinina on Monday, March 25, 2024 converged at the Holy Family Basilica, Nairobi for her requiem mass.
Revered media personalities such as Ken Mijungu, Zubeida Kananu, Linus Kaikai and Joe Ageyo are just but some of the journalists who attended the mass, which was engulfed in a cloud of sorrow as family, colleagues and friends bid the late Tinina eternal farewell.
The deceased’s life partner, fellow journalist Robert Nagila was also present and could not help but break down profusely as he remembered the mother of one.

Taking to the podium, Nagila left mourners in tears as he gave a moving tribute to the late.
The Nation Media journalist disclosed that his lover’s death left a huge hole in his heart.
“I am heartbroken. However, broken things can be mended whereas the loss of a loved one is absolute,” he said.
He went on to shower late Rita with love while describing her as a remarkable woman who impacted many lives.

“When our paths first crossed, your beauty, hearty laughter and warm heart touched me. You were also the most stubborn person I have ever met, principled in your beliefs. Nina, last Sunday, your phone stopped ringing. Your passing has left a void that cannot be filled. but I am comforted by the fact that the memories of time spent will on,” he added.
A sad Nagila wrapped by by disclosing that he will dearly miss his partner.
“I shall miss you dearly, Mama Mia.” Nagila said.
Tinina was found dead in her house on Sunday, March 17.
