Kenyan comedian doubling as a journalist Oga Obinna has said his effort to venture into music hasn’t bored fruit.
Speaking to Moya David in his show dubbed Obinna Show Live, the former Kiss FM presenter disclosed that he had pumped a lot of money into music but none of his songs trended.
Obinna went ahead and said in the over 55 songs he released in the music industry, he spent Ksh 100, 000 to produce a video for each except for audio.
“I have over 55 music videos. That’s videos, not audio na hakuna video nishawahifanya and spend less than Ksh 100k na bado Wakenya hawaja niambia yeees you’ve done it.” Obinna revealed.
In his latest song Friday Night featuring Mr Seed, the journalist added that he put more effort into making it accepted by Kenyans but things never ended as he expected.
However, the singer added that even though Kenyans haven’t accepted him in the music industry, the songs entertain him when at rest because he accepted the situation and learnt to live with it.

“But it’s okay, I’m not doing it for them, I’m doing them for me,” Obinna added.
Further, the former Kiss FM presenter revealed that before he joined the comedy industry, he was a musician and music gave him his first name which was later replaced by comedy.
His effort in trying to revive the musical talent in his life has been taunted by comedy and journalism to the extent of making most fans not see what he has hidden in music.
