Shocking Amount Zari Made On Her Samsung Deal Vs Nyashinski

Nyashinski, Zari East Africa’s business entrepreneur’s endorsements as Samsung brand ambassadors for  has raised critical questions among intellectual readers by questioning the terms and condition differences between the two renowned influencers in East Africa.

The differences unearthed highlight Zari assuming the role under flexible conditions compared to what Kenyan artist was exposed to. Further, the amount of money Zari is set to earn is a question of concern as to why the singer had to be belittled.

The South Africa-based Ugandan business influencer earned an ambassadorial deal with Samsung Electronics East Africa as their eye-image in the digital marketplace days after landing in Kenya since her 2022 publicity of Netflix series.

The business lady has taken over Nyashinski’s role a couple of years after the singer assumed the role in 2020. In 2020, SEEA endorsed a Kenyan singer as their East Africa brand ambassador where he was set to earn roughly Ksh 6M  at the end of the two-year contract.

“When Nyash (Nyashinski) was Samsung’s brand ambassador, he was paid Sh6 million for a two-year exclusivity deal. He was not allowed to endorse any electronic brand other than Samsung during the two years.” One media outlet revealed.

Besides that, the Kisii singer was limited to marketing other electronic products apart from Samsung. This was further boosted by a restrain that the singer would attend all Samsung events held in East Africa as part of the contractual deal’s law.

Different from Zari’s deal, the Uganda woman who boasts of a whooping 11.9M Instagram followers and over 2M TikTok fans and has received a brand deal worth Ksh 14.1M for allegedly 18 Months roughly earning Ksh 800, 000.

According to one Kenya media outlet, Zari’s roles will include: “promoting brand awareness, fostering a positive brand image, and engaging with the target audience to enhance Samsung’s overall perception and visibility within the SEEA markets, positioning the brand as a luxury choice.”

The media adds that: “Upon signing the deal, Zari will receive Sh800,000 upfront, and she will be paid a similar amount every month, contingent on her work output. Regular reviews of her performance pegged on a content calendar, will determine subsequent payments. For a start, she has already been wired Sh800,000.”

Netizens are now in shock especially Kenyans about the indifference in the SEEA ambassadorial deal between the singer and Zari. Since both are known icons, Mideyah Digital Media remains in the dark and  is yet to understand the variation.
