In a heartfelt post on social media, NRG radio presenter Natalie Githinji has opened up about the profound grief she has been experiencing following the loss of her cherished cat, Mimi, on January 17.
Despite going to work, Githinji revealed that the pain of losing her companion has been deeply affecting her.
Taking to social media, Githinji expressed her sorrow, stating, “I am grieving but I am still working; it is not that I am not able now… 😅😅😅 but man I’m so hurt…. I swear I will not be able to buy another animal. 😭😭😭😭 hurts so bad.”
Mimi, who held a special place in Githinji’s heart, was a source of comfort for the radio presenter, particularly during challenging times such as surgeries and battles with endometriosis.
In her online tribute, Githinji shared her love for animals, acknowledging their unique and unconditional companionship.
“I love you so bad, man. He was always there for me, especially after my surgeries and when endometriosis was taking a toll on me. Animals are honestly the best; they deserve everything. I pray Mimi goes to heaven 😇 😇,” expressed Githinji in her emotional post.
She clarified that Mimi passed away in 2024, not in the previous year, and humorously added, “I am stressed because of my child… I don’t know with what money I will bury him… He told me he wanted a purple coffin, and I didn’t have the ability. Wow… 😭😭😂🙏.”
The NRG radio presenter concluded her tribute with a heartfelt “Rest in peace in paradise,” signifying the profound impact Mimi had on her life and the difficulty she faces in saying goodbye to her beloved feline friend.
