At Least 15 Dead In Accident Along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway

At least 15 people have perished following a grisly road accident along the ever-busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway on the morning of Tuesday, January 9.
The morning accident involved a passenger bus and a fourteen-seater matatu, police have confirmed.
The incident was confirmed by Kuresoi North OCPD Judah Gathenge who disclosed that all passengers in the matatu which was heading to Nairobi lost their lives.
The deceased include eight adults and seven children among them five girls and two boys.

Police reports indicate that the 2.45 am, the accident occurred at the Twin Bridge area along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
Further reports intimate that seven people were seriously injured with 38 being rushed to the nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Citizen TV reported that the injured passengers were admitted to the Molo Sub-County Hospital.
Bodies of the deceased were moved to the morgue at the same hospital.
