Mason Greenwood received a Straight Red Card As Getafe were defeated by Rayo Vallecano

 

Manchester United and England right winger Mason Greenwood who is on loan at La Liga side Getafe, received his first red card in his football career on Tuesday night in the Getafe versus Rayo Vallecano clash.

Getafe welcomed Rayo Vallecano at Civitas Metropolitano for the La Liga Match week 19 fixture where they were handed a 2-0 defeat by the visitors.

 

In this match, Getafe saw three of their players receiving red cards finishing the match with 8 players in the pitch.

Among the players who were sent off is Mason Greenwood who was shown a straight red card after the winger had complained to the referee for not calling any fouls on him on a number of occasions.

Greenwood doesn’t speak Spanish very well, but Referee Jorge Figueroa Vazquez said that Greenwood insulted him and decided to send him off with a straight red card 5 minutes after the second half kicked off.

 

Getafe finished the match with 8 players with their forward Juanmi Latasa Fernández sent to an early bath in the 40th minute after receiving a second yellow card in that match.

 

15 minutes to the end of the game their right-back Damian Suarez was also sent off reducing them to 8 in the pitch.
