However, the number of her followers has been dwindling at a supersonic speed in a move that has somewhat degraded her celebrity status.

Elsa Majimbo recently came out to share her quandaries with the world after learning she had lost over 200,000 social media followers in the past few weeks.

According to Majimbo, she lost the following because she decided to be the person she had always wanted to be.

Majimbo insisted that people unfollow her because they wanted her to be the same poor girl she used to be a couple of years ago.

She, however, noted that she does not care about the dip and will not be pressured into pleasing netizens to attract new followers.

“You know they say when you escape people’s validation. That is when you become a true failure. I have lost 200,000 followers in the last few weeks. Because I have evolved into the person, I have always wanted to be. People want to see more of a broke girl who I was before. It is like migration out of a bad country. The thing is, I know what to do, what to say, how to act, and everything to keep these followers. But at some point, I just decided, I am not going to diminish my happiness to make other people happy. I have never felt so free, I have never felt so alive,” Majimbo disclosed.

The decrease in the number of Majimbo’s followers was experienced about two months after she allegedly denounced Kenya, holding she does not think of coming back.
