Manchester United will miss the services of their first-choice goalkeeper André Onana who will be heading to the AFCON tournament that is starting in mid-January.
United signed Onana last summer from Inter Milan after their long-serving goalkeeper David de Gea left the club upon his contract expiry.
Onana who represented Cameroon national team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar had a fallout with the national team coach Rigobert Song during the World Cup.

After the competition, Onana announced his retirement from international duty.

Today Cameroon has announced their 23-man squad that will represent the nation during the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is slated to kick off on 13th January to February 11th when the Finals will be played.
Manchester United will miss the services of André Onana for that period as they enter a crucial second leg of the 2023/24 season.
