Zari Hassan: December Party Vibes Died With My Ex Husband Ssemwanga
South African based Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari The Boss Lady has revealed how the Kampala night life in December died down after the death of her ex-husband, the late Ivan Ssemwanga.
Ssemwanga together with his fellow tycoons Ed Cheune and King Lawrence under the name ‘Rich Gang’ had made it a lifestyle to splash money in December by hosting exclusive lavish parties, attracting ‘ba summers’.

Zari feels the night life is not the same ever since he died in May 2017.
“When Ssemwanga had just died, we paused the All White Party for like three seasons because things were not the same. I always say this in my posts that Ssemwanga dies with December.
“We can all agree to disagree because he had instilled it in party animals that it was a month of big spending. All those from abroad used to look forward to flaunting new cars to outcompete others.”

“But the vibe died down. He was like an inspiration and motivation because they worked so hard for the money they spent,” she said.
Nevertheless, despite December parties losing their steam, Zari vows to revive the party spirit with her All white party.
This year’s edition of the White Party was held at Noni Vie in Naguru, Kampala over the weekend and it saw Tanasha Donna, Konshens alongside other top socialites grace the event.
