Beşiktaş Excludes 5 Players From First Squad After Defeat

The Turkish side Besiktas have excluded five of their players after their disappointing loss to Fenerbahçe on Friday 9th in front of home fans at Vodafone Park.

 

The club has taken the drastic step of excluding five players from all first team activities henceforth.

It has been reported that this is in response to their recent poor form and in an effort to send a clear message to the team.

 

The five players that have been excluded are former Manchester United and Ivory Coast centre back Eric Bailly as well as former Saudi Pro League’s Al Nassr and Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar with his fellow countrymate Jean Onana, Valentin Rosier and Rachid Ghezzal.

 

This is certainly a controversial move, and it remains to be seen how the players and the fans will react. Besiktas are currently sitting at position 5 with 26 points in Turkish Super Lig.
