70- Year- Old Woman Gives Birth To Twins
I wondered who would take care of me when I grow old, she said
A 70- year- old woman has delivered twins in Uganda capital, Kampala.
Safina Namukwaya delivered her twins a boy and a girl through In vitro fertilisation (IVF).
This comes three years later after delivering a baby girl in 2020.
The Women’s Hospital International and Fertility Centre told the public that Safina is a strong woman.

At her age, Safina becomes the first African woman to endure patience and delivery twins.
As Safina describes her second delivery, many had mocked her at prime days for being childless.
This second delivery with her second husband is a ‘miracle’ as she describes.

“I looked after people’s children and saw them grow up and live alone.
“I wondered who would take care of me when I grow old” she thought.
Ms Namukwaya got married to her first husband in 1992 but her husband died before the two having a child.
In 1996, she remarried to her current husband who the two have three children.
