Church Cancels Wedding After Confirming Bride To Be Is Pregnant

Pentecostal Church has cancelled wedding of lovers set to religiously wed on Saturday.
The church identified as Assemblies of God based in Abia State Nigeria, cancelled the wedding after bride’s pregnancy tests came positive.
It’s reported that Mr Israel Kennedy and Miss Rose were set to wed on Saturday but when pregnancy tests were carried out, Ms Rose was discovered pregnant.
The church’s doctrine according to reports from one local media, forbids fresh couple to wed if the bride is discovered pregnant.
It’s also claimed even if the man has done all the activities and undergone all mandatory requirements for a wedding; when church leaders discover the lady is pregnant, the wedding is cancelled.
A source from the bride’s family was quoted saying “.. found out that she was pregnant and announced that the wedding is hereby cancelled“.
After the cancellation of the wedding, both Mr Israel and Ms Rose were subsequently suspended from the church.
Church leaders as reported by one local media outlet, stayed silent over the matter after being approached to validate their conclusion.
