Moi University: Locals Apologise For Chasing Prof. Ayiro As Vice- Chancellor
Kesses residents have apologised to former acting Vice- Chancellor Prof. Laban Ayiro for forcible removal from power.
The locals allege that the current Vice- Chancellor Isaac Kosgey’s leadership is characterised by mismanagement of funds, poor leadership and ignorance.
In a demonstration held by Kesses residents on Tuesday morning, the locals laid blame on local leaders for forcible removal of Prof. Ayiro from power and installing incompetent son of the soil.

Following the tremendous occurrence of events, locals allege Prof. Kosgey has denied them opportunities to work in the varsity.
They claim Prof. Kosgey is abnormally transfering workers, re-deploying Moi staffs to Apple Orchard and dismissing worker arrogantly.

In merry moments they thought in 2017 that he will bring fame and progress of Moi University; they have sent apology to Prof. Ayiro for chasing him away.
“We apologise to Prof. Ayiro. We were deceived by local politicians to chase him away but he was the best” Richard Tarus a local community leader said.
Demonstrators further claimed that the incitement they got from local politicians, have made Moi University perform dismally on Kenya’s academic calendar.
“Since Prof. Ayiro left this university, we have never had a performer like him. We thought the university would excel if we we had one of our own. We are demanding that a competent leader be appointed as VC of Moi University” Irene Too a local resident added.

Ms Too a former Moi University employee further noted that Prof. Kosgey since he entered power, has killed all the projects of his predecessors.
Prof. Laban Ayiro after being chased away from Moi University by local politicians and residents, was appointed the Vice – Chancellor of Daystar University.
As a varsity don in Daystar, he has made tremendous prowess in academic radar making Daystar preferred by recent Uongozi Career Awards as the best institution to create job opportunities for its graduands.
