Prof. Laban Ayiro, Vice – Chancellor Daystar University was on Thursday awarded as the Vice- Chancellor of the year 2023 at Uongozi Career Awards.
The event hosted by the Corporate Career Academy at Catholic University of Eastern Africa, also saw Daystar University recognized as the best preferred University in East Africa.

His institution Daystar University beside awarded as the most preferential academic institution, was also recognized as precious varsity in matters of employability.
“Daystar University has been recognized as the most preferred institution of higher learning at the East African Employability Summit and Career Awards 2022/2023.
” Immensely grateful for the acknowledgment and proud of Daystar University accomplishments! Glory is His!” He added.
Prof. Laban Ayiro’s prowess in academic radar was spearheaded by his humble background as a toddler.

As a son of a driver, grew up in Kibera slums where he started schooling at Nairobi Primary School before joining Upper Hill High due to financial constraints.
Throughout his academic life, he acted as the Acting Vice- Chancellor for Moi University before bad luck knocked at his door to join Daystar University.
The creme de la creme intelligentsia believes in one of the philosophy of Martin Luther Junior that diligently describes the rise and fame of a person that calls for humility.
