“If You Are Not Paying Tithe, You Are A Thief”: Pastor Tells Christians
Tithing, a controversial opinion among the christian faithfuls continue to deepen roots in our contemporary society due to increase of new churches.
Clerics both who went to theological schools and those who started preaching as a call from the creator; have not come up with solution over tithing in churches.
Pastor John, a cleric based in Nigeria has stepped in the wound of christian faithfuls that had started to heal after saying persons who don’t tithe are thieves.
In his viral video, the cleric has said most christian faithfuls are not becoming billionaires because of their behaviors of robbing from God.
” If you’re not paying your tithe, you’re a thief and you have robbed God. You sow seed and you pay your tithe. That power of tithe will come, the power of the seed will join together and you become a billionaire.
“People would be coming to borrow money from your hand. People would be crying but it’s not for you,” the pastor said while preaching a sermon to his church members.
Pastor John’s sentiments in a sermon have not been received positively by online users. Many have bashed at him alleging he should pay them a visit and be taught about tithing.
