South Africa’s revered opposition leader has criticized sitting President William Ruto over his unfulfilled promises he made after entering power.

Julius Malema, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) while in Makueni County on Thursday during the launch of Pan African Institute in Lukenya University; pointed out president Ruto’s actions as a spirit of failing true African integrity.

” The things that he said during election and the things he is doing now are two different things” Malema pointed out Ruto’s doings.

Further, he flashed back when President Ruto promised Pan Africans to unite and have their own currency as a continent which is/was to be used among all Africans within the continent.

I heard him say we need to do away with the dollars and build our own currency but his actions are not speaking about doing away with the dollar” Malema added.

Additionally,  Malema said President Ruto rather than laying a red carpet for King Charles and his wife Camilla in their recent visit to Kenya; he could have vehemently told the King to apologise to Mau Mau fighters for what the British did to them during the scramble and partition of Africa.

We have a duty to stay true to the course. We have a duty to remind the King and Britain of what they did to us.

“He( King Charles ) says that it should have never happened and falls short of I apologise and I am sorry. He thinks his reign makes him more superior” Malema added.

Being among those African leaders who celebrated President William Ruto’s win on August, 2022; Malema went ahead and urged Kenyan government to decide whether to be Pan- Africans or Pro- colonialists.
