Husband Kills Wife After Finding Her Sleeping With Another Man
Police have arrested a man who murdered his wife after finding her red handed sleeping with a casual worker in a garden near their marital home.
The incident happened at Butibulongo Village, Mujuma Parish in Nakseke district when the culprit identified as Katongole Rashid killed his wife, 35-year-old Kunihira Monica.
According to police reports, on 30th October, 2023, Katongole walked in on his wife having sex with a worker nicknamed Musajja Wa Kabaka’ in the nearby bushes.

It is said that Katongole first wrestled down his wife’s lover who luckily overpowered him and ran for his dear life. Out of anger, he turned to his wife and beat her severely.
Ismail Kiwanuka, the village chairperson was one of the first responders who tried to rush Kunihira to the hospital and also tip off the police to come to the scene. She unfortunately died on the way before getting there.

Police was able to to arrest Katongole on charges of murder and are actively searching for the deceased’s lover who is currently on the run.
Savana Region police spokesperson, Sam Twenamazima, revealed that the body of the deceased was taken to Nakaseke hospital for postmortem as investigations go on.
