Woman Arrested Over Stolen Phone Gifted To Her By Boyfriend

A young woman was sent to Luzira Maximum Prison after she was arrested with a stolen phone that she received as a gift from her boyfriend.
Nakazibwe Hanifah stood before judge Kirya Martins of the LDC Court in Makerere to answer for her crimes of possession of stolen property.
Nakazibwe revealed that the phone was a gift from her boyfriend. She started using it as soon as she received it but was arrested immediately by people who started questioning her where she got the phone from.

When Judge Kirya asked the accused where she thought her lover got the phone, Nakazibwe narrated he claimed to have bought it from Town.
She further revealed how his lover deserted her when he got news of her arrest. She claimed his family members picked all the household items in her house that the man had previously bought for her, accusing her of stealing them.
