Akothee:I Broke Up With Omosh In June, 2023
Kenyan entrepreneur and singer, Esther Akoth, alias Akothee, has disclosed the reasons behind her separation from Swiss husband Denis Schweizer Omosh only a month after their fancy wedding.
In a live session, Akothee addressed her relationship status and opened up about the factors leading to the demise of her marriage.
“I believe most of you have moved on from my relationship life, just as I have moved on from it. It no longer exists. I genuinely enjoyed my marriage and wedding. I have no regrets,” she emphasized, making it clear that she is no longer in the marriage and has no remorse.

The mother of five also revealed that she strategically timed her wedding to coincide with her birthday, ensuring that, regardless of the outcome, it would be a memorable occasion.
“And, in fact, I had my wedding on my birthday, so in case things went awry, I celebrated my birthday in a grand way,” she said.
Akothee explained that she left her marriage in June because it had become a dysfunctional relationship. When something isn’t working, she prefers to end it.
“I walked out of that relationship back in June. We had to part ways because it was no longer a functional relationship. I’m someone who doesn’t force things. If it’s not working for me, it simply isn’t,” she asserted.
This decision came after some revelations during her honeymoon.

“I usually end my relationships while still in them. During my honeymoon, I discovered some things I couldn’t tolerate. In July, he asked if I would leave him, but I told him, ‘No, baby, I love you, but I’ve already left.'”
Akothee made it clear that she won’t apologize for the relationship not working. “If you thought it was working, it only worked for a few days,” she said.
She concluded the session by encouraging those who are hurting to heal and process their emotions.
“I’m currently going through a divorce, and we are moving on to the next chapter,” Akothee announced as she ended the session.
