Thief Dies In Chicken House Where He Went To Steal
There was panic among residents of Mutungo Zone 4 after they woke up to a dead body of a businessman who collapsed and died in a hen house where he had gone to steal.
Lule Teo, the owner of the poultry farm where the deceased had come to steal, expressed her frustration at how thieves have been disturbing her for a long time. She revealed that her farm had been broken into more than three times by thieves who came in the night but he failed to capture any.

The body of the deceased who is believed to have passed on in the wee hours of the night was discovered by her grandchildren who had gone to feed the chicken very early in the morning.
When she had their screams, she rushed to the scene where she found the intruder dead cold. With him were some instruments which he used to cut the window mesh including a hammer, sacks and a pair of pliers.
Speaking to fellow residents, Lule expressed her dismay over the fact that the man was found dead because she wanted to fish information out of him about his other gang members that terrorized her.

She also denied allegations of using witchcraft to capture the thief saying she patiently prayed as she hung photos of catholic saints inside the hen house with hope that the culprits would be apprehended.
According to Some eyewitnesses, the deceased was a resident of Mbuya- Katoogo slum and was a known chicken vendor.
There was a scuffle between the police and the locals who wanted to pull out the corpse and burn it as a strong warning to the other gang members who are used to terrorizing people.

Mulumba Tamale Mike, the village youth chairperson in Mutungo blamed the youths who he said have refused to work and instead resorted to theft.
“I was also invaded by chicken thieves who had come to steal my 50 birds but luckily I woke up before they could break in and steal anything,” Mutesasira Robert, the village councilor revealed.
Police from Mutungo in conjunction with Jinja Road police arrived at the scene and retrieved the body of the deceased. It was transported to Mulago Referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.
