Ruto, Gachagua Yet To Extend Birthday Wishes To Uhuru Kenyatta
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 62nd birthday was marked with jubilation as Kenyans from all walks of life came together to celebrate the occasion, even in his absence.
Despite not being present to celebrate, Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta was overwhelmed by the outpouring love and well wishes from Kenyans.
David Murathe, the Vice-Chair of the Jubilee Party, convened a meeting at their party headquarters to commemorate Uhuru’s special day.
Uhuru Kenyatta took a moment to express his gratitude to the well-wishers in a call organized by Murathe.
“Hamjambo nyote mko poa? Thank you very much for your birthday wishes and for remembering me. May God bless you and protect you,” Kenyatta said with heartfelt appreciation.
The former Commander-in-chief also shared a warm exchange with Kameme FM, a prominent Gikuyu radio station, as they reached out to extend birthday greetings.
“Let’s not talk about my age; we give thanks for the years that God has given me. Life begins at 40. We thank God for the journey thus far and for the gift of good health.” He commented.
In a separate celebration, traders from Gatundu Market organized a vibrant birthday party in honor of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta. Donning red-themed aprons and hand scarfs inscribed with phrases such as ‘Jubilee, Tuko Mbele Pamoja,’ they joyfully broke into song and dance.

While celebrating the occasion, some residents voiced their concerns about the challenges they have faced under the current regime.
It has been over a year since Uhuru Kenyatta handed over the reins of power to President Ruto. During this time, the former president has maintained a relatively low profile, focusing on other aspects of life.
Despite the widespread goodwill and birthday wishes from leaders across the nation, notable omissions include President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, who are yet to extend their birthday messages to the retired head of state. This omission has sparked considerable interest and speculation within the political landscape.
