Peter Salasya Affirms Kenya Is The Best Country To Live In

Mumias Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has said that Kenya is the best country, despite the rising fuel prices that has made life unbearable.
The MP said that every time he travels to other African countries, he’s reminded that Kenya is the best place to live in because of its lower cost of living.
“Yes, South Africa is developed, but life is expensive,” he noted

Salasya, while visiting South Africa, compared the price of a pair of shoes he was wearing, saying it was Ksh. 4,000 more in South Africa compared to Kenya.
“Kiatu kaa yangu hii in Kenya is 5,000 shillings; in Cape Town, here is 900 Rands, which is equivalent to 9,000 Kenyan shillings,” he said.
Salasya didn’t stop there; he went ahead to advocate for the reduction of fuel costs in the country so that no one would have to leave the country for greener pastures.

“Shida ya Kenya saa hizi ni mafuta tu pekee. If we can lower fuel prices in Kenya, I can tell you for free you will never want to leave Kenya. I was in Ghana, Morocco, Tanzania, South Sudan, and now in South Africa. Aki, muache tu tupende Kenya yetu; it’s the best.”
In mid-October, Kenya experienced an unprecedented peak in fuel prices, reaching a historic high of Ksh 218 per liter of petrol.
