Sports Journalists Of Kenya To Play Inter Media Tournament

The Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) and Laliga will host a fun inter-media event at the Galleria Arena in Nairobi.

 

The 16-team competition will take place on International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Day. The event is sponsored by Laliga, KCB, DSTV, and Safari Premium Drink.

 

The overall champion will receive Sh50,000, the runner-up Sh30,000, and the third-place finisher Sh 20,000.The top two teams from each of the four groups of the 16 teams that were formed will advance to the quarterfinals.

 

Below are the full groups of the competitors.

pool A

Royal Media Services, Radio Africa Group, Cape Media Group, TV 47, and Athletics News FC

 

pool B

Kenya Broadcast Corporation (KBC), CGTN, freelance journalists, and Supersport

 

Pool C

Nation FC, MediaMax, Makueni Journalists, and Standard Media FC

Baada ya ujio wa Kinara wa Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Raila Odinga humu nchini na kufululiza hadi katika uwanja wa Kamukunji, kiongozi huyo ameto wito kwa Wakenya kutokubali utawala wa Kenya kwanza ili kunyima Rais William Ruto mapato yanayohitajika kwa minajili ya uchumi.

 

Akipinga Ushuru wa Ongezeko la Thamani ya 16% ulioidhinishwa hivi majuzi kwa bidhaa za mafuta, Raila amewataka Wakenya kuepuka kutumia magari na kumnyima Ruto ushuru wa mafuta.

 

Kama sehemu ya uasi wa kiraia kunyima serikali ya Kenya ushuru wa mafuta, waziri mkuu huyo wa zamani amewataka Wakenya kuzingatia maoni yake na kuasi kutumia magari ambayo anasema bei ya mafuta imepanda hadi mara dufu na rais amekataa kushughulikia hali hiyo.

 

Wakenya kwenye mitandao ya kijamii haswaa wafuasi wa azimio wamesuta utawala wa Kenya kwanza kwa kuwahadaa na kuwapea matumaini ya uongo ambapo wengi wamemsuta naibu rais Rigathi Gachagua ambaye ndiye kiongozi anayeendelea kuwakufisha moyo vijana wakenya wanaosaka ajira.

 

Katika mkutano huo Babu Owino mbunge wa embakassi mashariki vile vile alimsuta Gachagua kwa kauli ambayo anasema imewafanya wakenya kukata tama maishani.

President William Ruto has assented to the controversial Finance Bill 2023, which was passed by the National Assembly last week making it a law. 

The president  who signed the Bill today Monday June 26, at State House, Nairobi, means a 16% VAT will be imposed on fuel, content creators will be subjected  to a 5% tax and Betting and insurance companies withholding taxes will be charged at 12.5% and 16% respectively among other key taxes.

 

The Bill sailed through after 184 MPs voted Yes against only 88 who voted No.

 

Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba and Esther Passaris hit headlines during the voting as they both voted against their coalition stands.

Panic gripped residents of  Ndaragu village,Nessuit ward in Njoro sub-county of Nakuru county after a middle aged sick woman vomited a lifeless rat.
The mother of four as reported by Chamgei FM was sick and started vomiting at around 3am in a  basin .
She would later feel something choking her in the throat and she forcefully vomited it out. It was upon lighting her torch that she realized that she had vomited a dead rat.

Musician Stevo Simple Boy’s Wife Grace Atieno has revealed that her husband is going through a tough times financially.

 

The Vijana Tuache Mihadarati hitmaker’s wife claims that Stevo’s management is taking advantage of him as they have taken control of his social media pages

 

“Stivo ananyanyasika sana. Manager wake ni mtu ambaye anamkulia sana na hiyo sitaogopa kusema. Wakenya wanajua anaishi maisha mazuri lakini sio kwa nyumba. Sio yeye anatumia TikTok yake na Instagram. Wengi wanacomplain, wanataka kumsaidia na kitu kidogo, hawamkuti. Anaumia sana Nikijaribu kuongea, nafeel pain ingine kali sana ( People think Stevo is living a good life, he is not. He is really struggling and his management is taking advantage of him. He doesn’t benefit from his music and has no control over his social media accounts too. We are trying to open other accounts for him hoping things will work out),” Grace  said in an interview with Vincent Mboya.
She further urged fans to support the singer.
