Police Promise Not To Interfere With Azimio’s Kamukunji Rally
The country’s law enforcers have vowed not to interfere with Azimio Kamukunji rally slated this afternoon.
According to Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei, the coalition had notified them of the planned meeting and they consequently made arrangements to ensure that the meeting will be peaceful.
“They made requisite request and they were granted. We are allowing the meeting to take place and there is no cause for alarm,” Bungei said
“We are on the ground to ensure the rally is peaceful. We will provide the needed security,”
The assurance comes just hours before Azimio’s planned rally today at the Kamukunji’s ground over Finance Act, 2023.
