Manchester City Submit Bid For Declan Rice
Manchester City yesterday submitted an offer of £90 million for West Ham captain and England international Declan Rice.
Manchester City is attempting to outbid Arsenal for Rice after the Citizens defeated the Gunners to win the Premier League title the previous season. The offer consists of £80 million up front and another £10 million in add-ons.
The offer falls short of West Ham’s valuation, and early signs point to its rejection. After two proposals were turned down, Arsenal is still trying to acquire Rice, and West Ham is anticipating a third offer from them.
Manchester City have already completed the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea and are working hard to sign Leipzig defender Joko Gvardiol after they agreed personal terms.
Arsenal have already completed the signing of Kai Havertz from Chelsea, but Declan Rice remains their top target in the summer, and they are also eyeing a bid for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.
